Bangladesh Green take 170-run lead over Bangladesh Red

Bangladesh Green team took overall 170 runs lead over Bangladesh Red team on the 3rd day of the only four-day practice match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur Wednesday, reports UNB.

Starting the second innings today, Bangladesh Green team scored 174 for 6 in 68 overs at stumps on the day.

Opener Shariar Nafees scored 46 runs off 87 balls with eight fours while one down Sahagir Hossain made 26 runs off 55 balls with three fours.

Number six Raqibul Hasan scored 48 runs off 112 balls with three fours to remain unbeaten with Elias Sunny as the bails were drawn for the day.

Suhrawardi Shovo and Mahmudullah claimed two wickets each for 29 and 36 runs respectively.

Earlier, resuming the 1st innings on the 3rd day (Wednesday), with overnight score of 215 for 7, Bangladesh Red team were all out for 285 in 81.1 overs in reply of Bangladesh Green team's first innings total of 281 for all.

Night watch batsman Nasir Hossain played the key role taking Bangladesh Red team to a comfortable position after an initial damage. He contributed an unbeaten 93 runs off 144 balls with nine fours and two sixes.

Elias Sunny and Sahadat Hossain Rajib captured three wickets each conceding 53 and 71 runs respectively while Tanvir Haider took two wickets for 23 runs.
