| Tigers roar at last |

West Indies' dream of clean sweep turned out to be a nightmare as they were sent crashing to their second-lowest ODI while Tigers strolled to an emphatic eight- wicket win in the 3rd ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here Tuesday.
Man of the match Shakib Al Hasan with four wickets for 16 tightened the noose after Shafiul Islam and Nasir Hossain with a brace each and Nazmul Hossain chipped in with a wicket saw West Indies into tatters, struggling at 5 for 36.
Local boy Tamim Iqbal batted sensibly to remain not out with 36 runs with captain Mushfiqur Rahim with unbeaten 10 saw Bangladesh rattle up 62 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

West Indies who came in the match with unassailable 2-0 lead were looking for a complete whitewash but Tigers were in no mood to throw the towel without any fuss and Caribbean must have forgotten that this ground was a very happy hunting ground for Bangladesh.

Tigers have played thirteen ODI's in this venue with six wins and five defeats prior to today's encounter. The remaining two matches against India and Zimbabwe in 2007 and 2010 in this venue had been abandoned due to inclement weather. In the last three ODIs, the Tigers did not taste a defeat at this venue.
So even the threat of late afternoon rain over the port city of Chittagong could not stop Tigers from being in a roaring mood as their spinners weaved a spell and Caribbean batsmen were seen languishing in dire strait when the match started after half an hour delay.

Skipper Mushfiq for the fourth time in a row won the cherished toss and opted to bowl first on a damp pitch with the thunderstorm forecast in the late evening.
However as the saying goes that fortune favours the brave as the weather stayed clear enough for Bangladesh bowlers to destroy the West Indies who lost only six wickets in the first and second ODIs in Dhaka.

West Indies started quite comfortably and were cruising at 33 for 1. Tiger bowlers came back strongly to pick up nine wickets for 28 runs.

The Chittagong pitch was found to be sluggish, the bounce low and the ball did not come on to the bat and spinners were getting appreciable turn. The pitch looked ideal for the bowlers and Mushfiqur Rahim immediately chose to bowl after winning his fourth toss on the tour.

Kieran Powell with 25 and Carlos Brathwaite with 11 runs were the two West Indian to reach double figure as Caribbean suddenly were looking an ordinary team.

Shakib was the pick of the lot with four wickets for 15 runs. He was well supported by Nasir Hossain and Suhrawardy Shuvo with two each saw visitors were bundled out for a paltry total.

West Indies after taking unbeatable 2-0, made three changes to their first eleven Lendl Simmons (who was adjudged as player of the series) had a back problem and was replaced by Kieran Powell, Ravi Rampaul was replaced by Carlos Brathwaite and Devendra Bishoo by Anthony Martin. Adrian Barath had not recovered from his hamstring problem so West Indies were opening with Danza Hyatt and Powell.
Bangladesh also had changes to their team. They left out Mohammad Ashraful, Alok Kapali, Abdur Razzak and Rubel Hossain and replaced them with Shuvagata Hom, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Shahriar Nafees and Nazmul Hossain.

The two-match Test series begins with the first Test beginning on October 21 at the same venue.
