Bangladesh-West Indies' 2nd day's play abandoned

The ground staff pull the covers off

Wet outfield under overcast condition following overnight and early morning rain forced abandonment of the second day's play of the first Test between Bangladesh and West Indies at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium inChittagong Saturday. 

There were several wet patches around the field and the overcast weather did not give the umpires much hope that the ground would dry quickly. They decided to abandon the day's play after an inspection at 11:15 am. 

The play is scheduled to start half-an-hour early today (Sunday) on day three, at 9 am.
